Ukrainian forces shell DPR 12 times over past 24 hours, use guided missiles – JCCC



Donetsk, Apr 18 – DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 12 times over the past 24 hours firing 36 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 12 times expending 36 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the airport area (Volvo Centre), the Spartak, Zhabichevo and Trudovskaya Colliery neighbourhoods in the outskirts and suburbs of Donetsk and in the west of the capital, Yasinovataya and its adjacent settlement of Krutaya Balka; Dokuchayevsk, and the Sakhanka village in southern DPR.

The enemy used 82mm mortars, anti-tank missiles (PTUR), grenade launchers and high calibre small arms. The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 11 times firing more than 180 rounds at DPR areas.*jk
