Ukrainian forces shell seven DPR settlements with 70 rounds over 24 hours – JCCC

Donetsk, Mar 28 – DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 11 times over the past 24 hours firing more than 70 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 11 times expending 71 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said.

Strikes were delivered at the city airport area and the Spartak village north of Donetsk, the Golmovskiy neighbourhood outside Gorlovka and the Krutaya Balka village off Yasinovataya, he added. Ukrainian armed formations also shelled the Kominternovo, Oktyabr and Sakhanka villages in southern DPR.

The enemy employed 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and high calibre small arms.

The amount of expended ammunition of calibre up to 12.7mm is not added to overall daily statistics.

In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 12 times, firing 116 rounds at the DPR.*jk
