Ukrainian forces shell Vasilyevka pumping station area with anti-tank missiles – JCCC

Donetsk, May 23 – DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire at the Vasilyevka pumping station area outside Yasinovataya, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.

“Today, at 10:00, Ukrainian armed formation at the Kamenka settlement opened fire at the Vasilyevka village with anti-tank guided missiles, recoilless guns (SPG) and high calibre small arms,” the report said.

Donetsk made three requests to Kiev to provide additional security guarantees  for a stable ceasefire, the JCCC said. The facility’s personnel will be evacuated because of the threat to their life and health.

The Vasilyevka pumping station services the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct supplying water to residents on both sides of the contact line. It often finds itself in the sector of fire by Ukrainian forces.*jk
