Video conference participants to get back to missing persons issue – Morozova



Donetsk, May 15 – DAN. Participants in the video conference over humanitarian issues at the meeting on May 15 agreed to resume talks over the mechanism to look for missing persons, Donetsk People’s Republic ombudswoman, DPR representative in the humanitarian subgroup Darya Morozova said on Thursday.

“The parties agreed to restart the discussion of the concept of search for the missing, suggested by the International Committee of the Red Cross,” Morozova said. “The issue will be reviewed in detail at the next meeting. It will enable the parties to begin joint productive work to resolve the problems encountered by the missing persons’ relatives on both sides of the contact line.”

Meanwhile, the parties have been unable to achieve positive dynamics in the observance of the rights of persons held in Ukraine.*jk
